Description

When it comes to severe weather in Oklahoma, a storm shelter can be a lifesaver. Many homeowners opt for an inside storm shelter, but a concrete outside storm shelter can provide numerous benefits over an inside shelter. Here are some reasons why a concrete outside storm shelter can be a better choice for you and your family.

First and foremost, an outside storm shelter can withstand the high winds and debris that come with severe storms and tornadoes. By being outside, it is less likely to be damaged by falling trees or other debris. Additionally, the reinforced concrete construction of an outside storm shelter makes it incredibly strong and durable, capable of withstanding winds up to 250 miles per hour.

An outside storm shelter also provides easy access in the event of an emergency. If a tornado warning is issued, you won’t need to navigate through your home to access the shelter. With an outside shelter, you can quickly and easily access it from your yard. This can be especially important if debris is blocking the entrance to your home or if you have a large family that needs to get to the shelter quickly.

Another benefit of an outside storm shelter is its versatility. It can easily double as a storage space for outdoor equipment or other valuables. This frees up valuable space in your home and provides an added level of protection for your belongings. Additionally, because it is outside, it won’t take up space in your home, which can be a concern for smaller homes or those with limited storage space.

Outside storm shelters are also low-maintenance and long-lasting. They require very little upkeep, and with proper care, can last for decades. This is especially important in Oklahoma, where severe weather is a regular occurrence. You won’t need to worry about replacing your shelter every few years, providing peace of mind for you and your family.

Finally, a concrete outside storm shelter can increase the value of your property. Many home buyers in Oklahoma are looking for homes with storm shelters, and having one can make your property more attractive to potential buyers. It is a long-term investment that can provide peace of mind to you and your family for years to come.

A concrete outside storm shelter can provide numerous benefits over an inside storm shelter in Oklahoma. It is durable, easily accessible, versatile, low-maintenance, and long-lasting. Additionally, it can increase the value of your property. If you want to keep your family safe during severe weather and invest in the long-term protection of your home, a concrete outside storm shelter is an excellent choice.
